This project began with a blank canvas or more accurately, a challenging one. The carpet was bright green, the walls too warm, and the space lacked the personality and comfort my client was craving. Aurora Apartment marked a new beginning for her, and the brief was clear: create a home that felt calm, contemporary, and completely her.
The only item she brought with her? A striking artwork featuring a galloping horse full of energy, movement and emotion. It became the heart of the palette and a guiding inspiration for the room. I softened the space with tonal layering: a neutral base, rich rust, and deep green, that reflect the strength and spirit of the piece without overpowering it. Textural upholstery, sculptural lighting and a beautifully curved marble coffee table added elegance and ease.
Every decision was made to support a new chapter, blending function, beauty and personal meaning. Aurora Apartment is proof that a home doesn’t need to be large to feel layered and luxurious. It just needs the right story, and someone to help bring it to life.
