We booked Proud Mary Stylist as we needed ideas to refresh our home. Mary was responsive when booking and scheduled a pre visit phone call to discuss our priorities. The consultation showed Mary had a great eye for design, colour and provided us fabulous suggestions. She delivered a report within a few days with some tips on where we might start looking for some key pieces.

Mary, the design fairy. I didn't know where to start with my new apartment. But she waved her magic wand and viola`. She was with me every step of the way - from colour palettes, to designing how the space would work, to sourcing best options to helping me to select furniture and furnishings. We downsized from a house to an apartment and went looking for furniture ourselves. We found the decision making process frustrating and confusing. luckily we were given Mary's details. What a pleasure!! She did a floor plan, took us to wholesalers, advised us on a colour scheme, listened to our ideas and reassuringly moved us away from things she didn't feel would work. We engaged Mary last year to do a redesign of our home’s living spaces. I loved Mary’s approach, her ideas, and in particular the outcomes of her work. She was great at guiding us with ideas, but also listened to our views and incorporated our (few) design preferences into the end product. I liked how Mary also gently challenged us at times to think outside the box and consider ideas that might be outside our immediate comfort zone. Mary is also economically sensible - she worked within the budget we set. I will use Mary again when the opportunity arises!

ProudMary (Mary) has completed the design of three places for us. Her approach is fantastic. She sits with us to understand our design goals, presents a "design palette" which is the starting point for discussion and ideas. The photo's that follow show the transformation of my apartment in the CBD. There is still a lot of little things to complete, but the "big stuff" is done. Mary was instrumental in colour choices for both wall paint and wallpaper. She highlighted the black to create a feature in all rooms. And she chose most of the furniture to meet both my functional needs as well as design ideas. The money that Mary saved as a professional designer more than covered the cost of using her service. The result of using Proud Mary was a much improved and stylish outcome for design and furniture choices, and a very effective use of money ... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED *** apologies ... Mary was fabulous to work with. She understood and respected to our styles preferences and budget requirements. She designed and styled our family home to integrate existing furniture and soft furnishings from around the house with a few new statement pieces to create a well-functioning, comfortable and warm home. Mary was so easy to work with. She created a few vision boards so we could express our preferred design styles and understand her plans. She touched base regularly to provide updates on potential pieces and kept us informed of delivery times once we’d purchased products. Her warmth and easy-going nature was delightful and made the whole process stress free.
